Online Marketing Overview
Online marketing has become extremely competitive and is no longer just creating good meta tags and submitting your site with some automated program…
Clients must understand that although a few minor search engines still look at Keyword Meta tags, optimizing meta tags for online marketing doesn’t carry much weight these days for most of the major search engines
There are many factors that determine how well your site will do on each of the search engines. I won’t be able to outline all of them, but I can name a few of the main things to consider if you really want your site to do well on various searches.
Before we begin, you should know that what I am about to explain here aren’t online marketing strategies “in theory”, but rather, are actual techniques that have been proven! Our own Web site is in the top 5 in searches for “Atlanta Web design” and other important keywords, and I’m competing against other Web design companies who claim to do search engine optimization and Internet marketing also…
Meta tags used to be the key to obtaining high ranking positions — not anymore. Most of the major search engines don’t even look at them anymore. We keep an eye on which of the search engines are most used and which are less popular and then begin our work.
It takes a pro to keep up with the ever changing ways of all the top search engines.
The first step to gaining top placement is to make sure your site is built “search engine friendly”. Most Web design companies can create a beautiful Web design for you but don’t know the first thing to making a site search engine friendly. We specialize in doing just that!
The server on which your site is hosted must also be “search engine friendly”. This means it must be stripped of all FrontPage extensions and that each domain hosted on the server must have it’s own IP address for optimal effects.
Most importantly— CONTENT IS KING!
You can do every trick in the book, but nothing helps your site more than if it is loaded with text and a lot of keywords through out the text. Text on the front page of your site really helps!
It would take a book to explain all the techniques we use to obtain top search engine positioning but hopefully this will help you understand just how much is involved. It’s not an expensive proposition either. Just consider this… You can save money by not doing anything in the way of search engine optimization and online marketing but most likely, you won’t make any money off of your site either.
Take the initial steps in turning your Web site into an aggressive online marketing tool and watch how your site will become your best sales person!
We have the know-how and we keep up with the ever changing ways of the important search engines.
We’ll work to get you the results you need to succeed!
