Back in April of 2015 Google issued a news release stating that they would begin to penalize websites that were not mobile ready. This came after statistics were released in February 2015 that 80% of all Internet users access the web via mobile device!
The best way to make your site “mobile ready” is to make sure your site is using an “auto responsive” design – ensuring that your entire site is accessible to all users.
Google announced in January 2017 that their new focus for 2017 was going to be more on mobile search results and that sites better be mobile ready and that websites need to be linked to their respective Google My Business account to ensure a site is optimized for local searches.
